Bad news.
Because of a misunderstanding of Japanese driving laws, not only by me, but by my company as well, it turns out that I have been driving illegally for the past two months. Because of this, until I get my Japanese license, I must walk or ride a bike to school. To complicate matters more, since I had to replace my lost passport this summer in Tokyo, the licensing center needs some proof that I have lived in America for more than 90 days. An apartment lease or three consecutive utility bills; as if any self-respecting American in my generation has those.
I was righteously pissed last night, but now just irritated. This means at least three weeks of freezing bike rides in the morning, two more three-hour trips to the driving center, and basically being confined to my small-ass town unless I wanna dump $15 on a train ride to and from Nagoya. I hate this I am so mad I just wanna punch something and I just did and now my hand hurts. I hate Japan!

OK, I don’t really hate it, and it’s not all that bad, but since this is my first really negative post, I wanted it to be good and emo.
