I didn’t go to school yesterday. I was in bed all weekend and Monday with a horrible cold. A pack of nose goblins threw a party in my sinus cavity, invited all their friends, got drunk, and threw up; resulting in my proboscis becoming a never-ending font of the most violent shade of green. I kept kicking them out, but they kept coming back. Their party finally wound down last night and I was able to breathe my first sigh of relief.
Along with the worst of my cold, so to has gone the worst of my feelings about my driving situation. So now I give you the good things about my licensing situation:
1. I only have to do it once.
2. After this is over, unlike my registration card, I will have a Japanese ID that I get to keep!
3. Walking to school over the next month will help with losing the last few pounds I wanted to drop.
4. My company is buying me a bike!
I told my teachers last week that I would have to stop driving, and one of my principals was really awesome and gave me his bike to borrow. I’m excited to get one of my own though, as I feel bad, but only slightly, when I get in the car to drive to the convenience store a couple blocks away. Having a bike will do wonders for my health too, I just know it. Why, I biked around a little bit last night, and I felt so healthy I stopped at McDonalds to celebrate.
